Privacy & cookies

This website is operated for Villa Rhodéa, a holiday villa in Ialyssos, Rhodes (Greece). For anything related to your personal data, contact us at info@villarhodea.com.

What we collect and why

When you send a booking request we ask for your name, email address, phone number, travel dates, the composition of your party, any special requests and the extras you select. We use this information solely to handle your request, prepare your booking and communicate with you about your stay (legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and performing that contract).

To protect the booking form against abuse we also record your IP address and browser type with each request, and the date and time you accepted our terms (legal basis: legitimate interest).

We do not use your details for marketing, and we never sell personal data.

Payments

Deposits and balance payments are handled by Stripe through a secure payment page. Your card or bank details are entered on Stripe’s systems and never pass through this website.

Email and your booking overview

Emails about your request and booking are sent through our transactional email provider. Your confirmation email contains a personal link to an online booking overview; the link is valid for a limited period and should not be shared.

How long we keep your data

Booking records are kept for as long as needed to administer your stay and to meet our legal (including tax) obligations, and are then deleted.

Embedded content from other services

• The contact page embeds a Google Maps map. When that page loads, Google receives your IP address (see Google’s privacy policy).
• The interactive island map uses the Leaflet library and map tiles from CARTO / OpenStreetMap; these services receive your IP address when the map page loads.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. If visitor analytics are enabled, they load only after you accept them via the cookie banner; declining never affects how the site works. Your cookie choice itself is stored in your browser so we don’t have to ask on every visit.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to restrict or object to its use. Email info@villarhodea.com and we will respond promptly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
